Third week of college!

Oh hai. Well I've found time to blog! Survived a four hour English Lit class yesterday, go me! I'm actually gonna be super busy today I have bio and a ton of math homework, plus we have a bio test to study for tomorrow. Gah.. But I'm kind of slacking now cuz we were actually supposed to go to the SPCA for community service today but one of us couldn't make it so we decided not to go. So yeah, I've been up since 6.40 am for nothing. Roommate has gone to church and I'm all alone in the room!

I think it's appropriate that I'm slacking on a Sunday anyway.

So I've been practising a super unhealthy lifestyle lately! And my skin is hating me for it. Yesterday my meals were bread, roti canai, a burger and a doughnut. Carbs overload much? And all unhealthy ones lol. Eeeesh.

By the way I went to see The Dark Knight Rises yesterday! Wheeee. It was super epic but not so much humour at all. Unlike Men In Black which was like a comedy all the way lol. The only parts which made me laugh were where Batman just looked so LAME. Gosh he's my least favourite superhero character. Seriously. Oh and the fact that the movie literally lasted THREE HOURS. O_____O

Anyway we have Midsummer Masquerade coming up this Friday. Originally I wanted to go buy a dress but I decided against it so I bought a ton of eyeliner yesterday WTHHH. I don't even know what I was thinking I'm such an impulse buyer. Oh gosh. Cuz I didn't bring any makeup with me and since I wasn't going to be wearing anything crazy, it seemed logical to splurge on makeup at the time.

I didn't even need this but yeah. RM26.90. It's kinda cool actually smells like berries! :D yum. 

 Yup.. I got three freaking eyeliners. Two from Maybelline one from Rimmel.

Got home super late last night and we all went into the master bedroom. Somehow ended up stalking and comparing pretty girls on Facebook lolol and then started playing around with makeup. Hilarious. Did one of the girls' eyeliner and she looks so sexy with eyeliner! HAHA. For once nobody was studying!

By the way, I'm almost totally broke. Time to tighten ze belt and eat more bread with peanut butter for meals. *pouts*

I forgot to mention over here! I actually passed both my ATCL diplomas! O_O And remember how I was 99% sure I was going to fail my cello? I freaking got 76/100 for it, higher than piano which was only 71/100. Gosh. My mind is totally blown, how that happened. Anyway, I still consider it a fake pass, cuz I know I didn't deserve it.

Gah.. anyways that's it. I'll be going home this weekend and next weekend as well. Gotta lug my cello back cuz I'm taking the train *groans*

Apartment!

Yay so I'll be doing a post on apartment/hostel life for this post.

So I stay in the apartment rented by the college for students, not exactly a hostel lah. It's just about 5 minutes walk from the college :)

Yeah let's get on with it. I actually took these pics when all my apartment mates were out for pasar malam btw.

 Just look how insanely small our sink is hahah. It's kind of a pain cuz we splash water all over the floor all the time.

 They have a bath tub! But no shower. This was my first time going into their bathroom actually.

I kinda think their bathroom is depressing I prefer ours hehe. 

 Okay this is our big living room! Which nobody ever uses. I turned on all the lights for the photos :D

We actually tumpang-ed the guys in our condo's time and got our internet installed more than a week early. Hehehe..

 Our meals/homework tables which are never cleaned or wiped. 

The cleaner comes once a week and by the time she comes our apartment is totally gross especially the bathroom with all the hair all over the floor lol. My room has never been mopped since we moved in :X I shudder to think what the boys' apartment looks like if even we girls can be so dirty.

We have a microwave AND an oven, brand new. Oh everything in the apartment including the apartment itself is brand new, btw. So lucky omg.

Just wanted to show our fridge lol. Which contains some 50+ eggs :D:D

 Our laundry area, nothing special. I found out I acutally like doing laundry! *GASP* The blue thing on the floor is someone's oil absorption sheet, or suck oil paper as I like to call it, I found in the washing machine.

So yeah! That's about it. We have to get our own dinner every single day. Luckily mum froze some spaghetti sauce and stew for me which I eat with the Ikea meatballs I bought. :D My apartment mates mostly just either skip dinner, eat biscuits, bread or fruit, or eat some instant thingy. Sad man hope I don't have to do that. I've only had to eat instant noodles once since moving in.

Sigh I have to wake up at 6.40 every single day! Cuz I take about 20-30 minutes in the bathroom every morning I'm super slow. And I'm at the college until earliest 4.30 pm :( Mondays and Tuesdays I only get to go back around five plus almost six. So tiring sigh. 

Can't believe I saved Game of Thrones and Gossip Girl to watch here because I thought we'd have nothing to do at home. Boy was I wrong. I use all my leisure time to play Tetris and watch my Youtube subscriptions hehe. Definitely don't do too much studying unlike le apartment mates who study the whole day :'(

Anyways.. I think I should go do some math homework nao. Toodles! I'll update again this weekend probably.

Phew college update!

HI GUYS. So if you've been following, yeah. LONG TIME NO BLOG. Phew it's not that I've been so busy with college stuff, even though it is kinda hectic, but I've sorta just watched videos on Youtube and played a bit of Tetris when I've had the time at night and I really didn't feel like blogging over there.

Anyway, college has been awesome so far. I don't have any pics or anything but I think my next post will be an apartment tour kinda thing using photos :D Didn't bring my camera along for the past two weeks so.. yup.

Oh and I'm back in Ipoh again this week, mainly cuz I still have some stuff to do and to bring over to KL and also because my original plan to come back only next week was disrupted because of our replacement English Lit class. (Decided to take English Lit after all btw) Replacements are because our teacher wasn't around for the first week of class so he basically just set homework for all of us to do. Which was a pain in the butt, let me tell you!

We had so many mini essays to write, plus a freaking POEM. Regret to say that even though I've just started school, I'm already slacking. I took about five minutes and wrote a haiku for the poem (which is a Japanese style poem that consists of only three lines). Whereas my classmates freaking wrote like, one page poems that took at least an hour to finish? And Mr Azahar gave me some good comments, which I'm not sure whether is to make me feel guilty about rushing through my work, or he genuinely means them. :/

Oh I should say something orientation-related. So I think it was the Student Council (?) who organised games for us on the first and second day of classes. We freaking had to be in school at 7 before classes started >.< but it was actually quite fun and I got to know a couple people. Played dodgeball and other fun stuff. For the first day we had to wear school uniform and those who didn't have had to be punished lol. :( Obviously I didn't bring mine but I hid at the back :3 so unsporting I know haha. And the second day we either had to wear our shirts inside out or back to front, plus mismatched shoes. I didn't care cuz it would be such a hassle to change back after that! Got punished for that too heh.

Sooo.. I joined the Music Club and the Performing Arts Club, which will hopefully be quite fun :) PAC is having a musical sometime soon and we're auditioning! I'm doing it for the fun of it cuz I really don't think I can act at all. And they don't have that many girl parts anyway..  think I'll end up doing stage management which is exciting enough :D

Anyways, hmm we have Midsummer Masquerade coming up and I signed up with the English Lit girls table so I hope we have fun! Not sure whether I want to dress up for it or not though.

And I watched Spiderman 3 with the girls and bf! It was awesome with a capital A. I'm not sure if this is the first time of mine watching a Spiderman movie but whatever. Go see it if you have time!

I probably have 301 things to talk about but I don't wanna bore you I guess I'll stop here. Heading back to KL tomorrow!

First day.

So. First day of college is over (phew) and I’m quite worn out. We had a treasure hunt after all the briefings and stuff (where I was freezing sitting under the air-con!) and it actually turned out not to be the most memorable part of the day lol.

I’m just sitting here typing this into Microsoft Word cuz we don’t have wifi yet here at our apartment. And yep I’m being anti-social cuz my roommate went out with some friends and I’ve yet to go over to the other girls’ room to be a busybody :P Actually kinda concerned about how everyone left the living room air-con on as well as the kitchen lights oops haha.

Anyways, after the treasure hunt we, meaning my group: Yi Ying and Joey (who is the cutest creature ever) walked over to the Public Bank cuz Joey wanted to withdraw some money. And of course, it started to rain. Heavily. Packed some chicken rice to share and I bought a packet of soya bean milk to drink.

Yahh so we dashed through the rain, spilt soya bean all over the place (including on my dress), tried to ask someone to fetch us but she said she didn’t know the way back, borrowed two umbrellas, and continued our epic journey back to our apartment =_= Gosh we were like bedraggled cats caught in the rain. My shoes got filled with water some moreee hope they’re not spoilt cuz I just got done breaking them in!

After the briefing I’ve decided to take Psychology instead of English Lit. Just cause if I end up doing music Psych might be more useful :3 Both difficult subjects and don’t really think I’ll be taking Literature for uni anwyays.

The lecturer who briefed us on Math and Further Math was totally trying to discourage us from taking Further Math lol! He said he didn’t want to see us torturing ourselves unless we’re really really good at math or going to go into those fields that really need it as a subject. Or if you’re a masochist hahah.

Actually felt like taking Chinese as a fifth subject cuz I figured out it’s like, super easy but the lessons are held on Saturday! :’( I don’t think I wanna sacrifice my weekends, even if it’s encouraged to take a language subject because some countries like Germany actually require you to have one if you want to study over there. Gah…

Okay I’m so pissed that our wardrobes haven’t even come yet! I’m living out of my suitcase which is filled to the brim and I can’t find half my stuff wth. Had to borrow deodorant from my roommate today and she just gave the whole bottle to me lol. Gotta buy a new one for her soon. I don’t even have a cup or mug cuz I either can’t find them, or forgot to pack them. No dustbins anywhere either so we just throw our rubbish into this giant plastic bag that was there from our new tables. Oh and the boxes our tables came in are still just sitting here in our living room! O.o

None of us have any idea how to operate the washing machine so I kind of think my apartment mates are washing their clothes by hand. I’m gonna bring my dirty clothes back home this Friday hehehe.

So it’s already 8.30 and I’m gonna do some reading before bed! Maybe I can finish Divergent by today. Oh and no electricity after ten today until around six tomorrow morning! :((((( So we’re all probably gonna just sleep at nine something today. Which is appropriate cuz we woke up super early and had a hectic day today. Plus we have to wake up early tomorrow too!
