Phew college update!

HI GUYS. So if you've been following, yeah. LONG TIME NO BLOG. Phew it's not that I've been so busy with college stuff, even though it is kinda hectic, but I've sorta just watched videos on Youtube and played a bit of Tetris when I've had the time at night and I really didn't feel like blogging over there.

Anyway, college has been awesome so far. I don't have any pics or anything but I think my next post will be an apartment tour kinda thing using photos :D Didn't bring my camera along for the past two weeks so.. yup.

Oh and I'm back in Ipoh again this week, mainly cuz I still have some stuff to do and to bring over to KL and also because my original plan to come back only next week was disrupted because of our replacement English Lit class. (Decided to take English Lit after all btw) Replacements are because our teacher wasn't around for the first week of class so he basically just set homework for all of us to do. Which was a pain in the butt, let me tell you!

We had so many mini essays to write, plus a freaking POEM. Regret to say that even though I've just started school, I'm already slacking. I took about five minutes and wrote a haiku for the poem (which is a Japanese style poem that consists of only three lines). Whereas my classmates freaking wrote like, one page poems that took at least an hour to finish? And Mr Azahar gave me some good comments, which I'm not sure whether is to make me feel guilty about rushing through my work, or he genuinely means them. :/

Oh I should say something orientation-related. So I think it was the Student Council (?) who organised games for us on the first and second day of classes. We freaking had to be in school at 7 before classes started >.< but it was actually quite fun and I got to know a couple people. Played dodgeball and other fun stuff. For the first day we had to wear school uniform and those who didn't have had to be punished lol. :( Obviously I didn't bring mine but I hid at the back :3 so unsporting I know haha. And the second day we either had to wear our shirts inside out or back to front, plus mismatched shoes. I didn't care cuz it would be such a hassle to change back after that! Got punished for that too heh.

Sooo.. I joined the Music Club and the Performing Arts Club, which will hopefully be quite fun :) PAC is having a musical sometime soon and we're auditioning! I'm doing it for the fun of it cuz I really don't think I can act at all. And they don't have that many girl parts anyway..  think I'll end up doing stage management which is exciting enough :D

Anyways, hmm we have Midsummer Masquerade coming up and I signed up with the English Lit girls table so I hope we have fun! Not sure whether I want to dress up for it or not though.

And I watched Spiderman 3 with the girls and bf! It was awesome with a capital A. I'm not sure if this is the first time of mine watching a Spiderman movie but whatever. Go see it if you have time!

I probably have 301 things to talk about but I don't wanna bore you I guess I'll stop here. Heading back to KL tomorrow!

First day.

So. First day of college is over (phew) and I’m quite worn out. We had a treasure hunt after all the briefings and stuff (where I was freezing sitting under the air-con!) and it actually turned out not to be the most memorable part of the day lol.

I’m just sitting here typing this into Microsoft Word cuz we don’t have wifi yet here at our apartment. And yep I’m being anti-social cuz my roommate went out with some friends and I’ve yet to go over to the other girls’ room to be a busybody :P Actually kinda concerned about how everyone left the living room air-con on as well as the kitchen lights oops haha.

Anyways, after the treasure hunt we, meaning my group: Yi Ying and Joey (who is the cutest creature ever) walked over to the Public Bank cuz Joey wanted to withdraw some money. And of course, it started to rain. Heavily. Packed some chicken rice to share and I bought a packet of soya bean milk to drink.

Yahh so we dashed through the rain, spilt soya bean all over the place (including on my dress), tried to ask someone to fetch us but she said she didn’t know the way back, borrowed two umbrellas, and continued our epic journey back to our apartment =_= Gosh we were like bedraggled cats caught in the rain. My shoes got filled with water some moreee hope they’re not spoilt cuz I just got done breaking them in!

After the briefing I’ve decided to take Psychology instead of English Lit. Just cause if I end up doing music Psych might be more useful :3 Both difficult subjects and don’t really think I’ll be taking Literature for uni anwyays.

The lecturer who briefed us on Math and Further Math was totally trying to discourage us from taking Further Math lol! He said he didn’t want to see us torturing ourselves unless we’re really really good at math or going to go into those fields that really need it as a subject. Or if you’re a masochist hahah.

Actually felt like taking Chinese as a fifth subject cuz I figured out it’s like, super easy but the lessons are held on Saturday! :’( I don’t think I wanna sacrifice my weekends, even if it’s encouraged to take a language subject because some countries like Germany actually require you to have one if you want to study over there. Gah…

Okay I’m so pissed that our wardrobes haven’t even come yet! I’m living out of my suitcase which is filled to the brim and I can’t find half my stuff wth. Had to borrow deodorant from my roommate today and she just gave the whole bottle to me lol. Gotta buy a new one for her soon. I don’t even have a cup or mug cuz I either can’t find them, or forgot to pack them. No dustbins anywhere either so we just throw our rubbish into this giant plastic bag that was there from our new tables. Oh and the boxes our tables came in are still just sitting here in our living room! O.o

My uber messy part of the room.

None of us have any idea how to operate the washing machine so I kind of think my apartment mates are washing their clothes by hand. I’m gonna bring my dirty clothes back home this Friday hehehe.

So it’s already 8.30 and I’m gonna do some reading before bed! Maybe I can finish Divergent by today. Oh and no electricity after ten today until around six tomorrow morning! :((((( So we’re all probably gonna just sleep at nine something today. Which is appropriate cuz we woke up super early and had a hectic day today. Plus we have to wake up early tomorrow too! 

Update and change of plans!

Long time no blog. Quick update here, cuz I'm still not sure whether I wanna blog about the Taiwan trip.

Heading to KL again tomorrow, having my cello lesson again on Wednesday. Performance is in two weeks! I'm so unprepared.

For those whom I've told that I'm going to Negeri Sembilan for A-Levels, I've changed my mind. Going to Methodist College KL instead :) Reasons I'd rather not disclose, but it's much cheaper there and I like it as much as, if not more than KTJ. Just hoping that I don't go out too often :/

But I'm super excited to be studying again! Seriously did I just say that lol. But idling at home has been kinda tiring recently. I couldn't work and stuff because of my music lessons and exams, and cello lessons are still going on now. I couldn't even enjoy going online and playing games or whatever, I just feel like I should be doing something else.

So I've been practising with ze exam takers Xinlin and Pooi Ye (I'm not even sure whether this is the right spelling lol, and she's my junior!) these few days, good luck to them and hope I don't freaking screw up!

Getting a new lappie, finally! *runs around in happy circles* :D Mum said it's because I'm saving money by not going to KTJ, lol. But seriously this laptop really gets on my nerves sometimes. The number of times it's moved pieces by itself in Tetris Battle, or just lags for the longest time =_=

Been finishing up the third book in the Game of Thrones series, SO GOOD. Even though R. R. Martin always kills people off :( I'll be starting on Great Expectations soon, part of the reading list for college ^_^
