Piano and Game of Thrones!

Well hello. Been having the most laid back of days since Monday. You'd think I'd be totally carefree as I've been on holiday since December, but not really; I've had the pressure and guilt from not practising these past few months that I can't relax properly.

SO. All exams are officially OVER. I'm taking a break since I won't be having a cello lesson this week or next week hehe. Waking up late, reading and going online every day all day gosh.

I'll talk about the piano exam! I totally forgot to bring my photocopies for the examiner and had to ask mum to fetch them for me *smh* Got shouted at quite a bit. =,= Talked to a dad who brought his daughter all the way from Sitiawan to take the exam lol.

So I think I did okay for this one, at least I'll probably pass. Well hopefully. All fingers crossed! Definitely made my fair share of mistakes, but I think only one serious breakdown where I played the whole passage one octave higher then stopped in confusion. *smh again* Like, seriously Faith?lol. And when I finished and took my foot off the pedal, my shoe decided to part with the foot and stay where it was lolol. Brenda and I laughed a bit but it wouldn't have been funny if I was on a real stage! :O

Well I think I'll pass one ATCL exam, at least. :S

Hmmm.. So I'm currently obsessed with the Game of Thrones series! I'm almost done with A Clash of Kings, the second book of the series. Just went out and got the third book from MPH! RM34.90 but worth it, totally worth it. I was so afraid of finishing the second book before I got the third book! Looks like I'm gonna be abandoning all the rest of the unread books on my bookshelf for this series.

And I'm watching the HBO tv show on the Game of Thrones as well! Ten episodes per season and I'm on the fifth episode already. Just started watching them today some more aiyo tell me obsessed or not. Although I must admit I can't remember every single thing from the books. It's so complicated with all the hundreds of names and places wth. Expected lah from a male author.

I.. *ahem* torrented the tv show btw. They'll never show it in M'sia because of the nudity and stuff lol.

If you're curious to know what this whole series is about, watch this review! She, surprisingly, explains it so well without any spoilers! I hate spoilers and I never read the back of books because more often than not there will be spoilers there =,=

I get why Daenerys Targaryen is her favourite character because since watching the show I love her and she watched the show before reading the book. But just from the book, my favourite character is definitely Arya Stark. Awesomest girl ever, hello! Daenerys would be a close second though.

So if you're looking for a new series to read, pick up the Game of Thrones! You won't be disappointed, I promise :)

Leetle update.

Ah hello. Update here. :)

So things were super crazy for the past few days. Went down to KL again for my lesson and did a little shopping as well, i mean of course right.

And naturally, I had to buy some food. Or.. sweets.

Then had programme books to finish for my exams! All that searching for info and stuff, besides trying to figure how to make a booklet with Microsoft Word, on mum's laptop. Literally been three years since I've really used Microsoft Word. Agh I'm so behind on the techy stuff now. Old ady lolol. Decided to take pics of the mock-ups just for fun :)

Well Form 6 started. Just to clear things up, I didn't go haha. Planned on going originally, but too much of a hassle yeah. So I'm just gonna stay at home until August. Whoopee. I'll be so much more stress free once my piano exam's done next Monday!

Speaking of exams... Cello exam was yesterday and it did not go well. I'm 99.9% sure I failed and it's not an exaggeration. My playing isn't even that flawless to begin with and the pianist kept playing the wrong notes and couldn't keep up with me throughout the whole exam. He even turned to the wrong page and played by memory wth. Soo distracting. :( Needless to say I played far worse than normal, with 'normal' being not too great anyways. Didn't help that my cello was being way scratchy too. Sigh got scolded by mum for not asking the more famous accompanists in Ipoh to accompany me. Wasted all that money heart pain man.

Told my teacher about it and he was like, ahh but you only started preparing a couple months before the exam, if you get through it you're a genius. Trying to console me onlyyyy few weeks ago he told me it was no problem. Gah. And now I'm totally not practicing for piano because compared to cello, I'm super well prepared. Not that I really am.. it just feels like it. :X

SO. Anyways. Check out this awesome girl with her cosplay channel! I couldn't do what she did even if you gave me ten years. Serious. Just watch it haha.

A Night at the Movies

So I realised I forgot to blog about STSO's concert (or is it STPO? Sam Tet's anyway!) Which was three weeks ago wth. Tickets were free!

 Being a girl and camwhoring before everyone arrived. Lol!

Went for an early dinner at MP with Lime, Cheryl and Weng Kin. The big MP! Sat outside cuz you know, that's cool. Hahahah.

Hurried over to Sam Tet after our dinner and met up with Aleh! We promised to do Weng Kin's makeup so he wouldn't get it done by the teachers but we went over to Parade for a while and he already got kidnapped mwahaha. Blush and lipstick! ;P

Attempted many times to take pictures in the hall but it was really hard because of the lights behind us. Urggh.

Anyways the concert was great imo! For a school orchestra okay don't try comparing with the pros please. Guava's conducting has improved a lot hehe. And he's gained a lot of fans ;)

Well hello people. I totally have stuff to blog about but.. somehow I'm blocked up here.

Uhh so anyway went back to CO and attended STCO's concert on Saturday because we couldn't make it to Jitsin's. Okay lah they were not bad but I was kinda being distracted and talking a lot. Heh. And we kind of rushed out after the encore pieces because we didn't want our mummy monsters to kept waiting :P But from what I heard about JSCO's, I missed an awesome concert!

Had pre-lunch dessert (what?) with Cheryl and Weng Kin before the concert. Haagen Dazs! I think it was actually my first time eating Haagen Dazs ice cream lolol. And le epic guava wanted to order something crazy that cost RM59 but we didn't let him so we ordered something else with 5 mini scoops of ice cream. The raspberry flavoured one tasted like medicine! But Weng Kin liked it lol. Note to self: Stick to only normal flavours at Haagen Dazs in the future! :S




Met up with Emilia (who was back from college!) at Jusco after. Went to the Wok Sifu place for lunch cuz... somehow we couldn't decide on anyplace else. Had a nice chat and a cockroach tried to climb up my leg! Lolol. We always encounter cockroaches in that part of Jusco.

Four of us! Okay maybe I should have cropped this.

Sat with Debbie in the hall and did a bit of catching up while waiting and in between performances. Choir did an awesome job! Well, everyone did an awesome job actually. Especially the Dance Club. Their 1 Malaysia dance was great!

AMCCO also did really well :) Hope everyone was impressed hahah. After Lingee finished conducting you guys literally took 15-20 seconds to completely disappear backstage. Too efficient liao! LOL.

Anyway after the speeches and everything it was finally our turn to ambil hadiah mwahaha. A cert and RM30 for us who got 9A's. Cheryl and I left almost immediately after receiving the money! LOL guilty guilty. Miss Chin was like 哪里可以拿了钱就走的？进去进去！But we went anyway :P Had lunch in Fantasy with mum before leaving for Penang.

2 hours later....

We arrived kinda early at Dewan Sri Pinang for CL's concert, still wearing our baju kurung and kebaya. Probably really stood out there lol. Nice job, CLHSCO :)

Rachel's mum sent us to 1st Avenue after, saw The Avengers! Loved Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), also known to us as Dunkaccino :D I actually thought the storyline was a teensy bit silly cuz they could have just teamed up on Loki and got rid of him right at the beginning. Or maybe I missed something? But I suppose if they did then they wouldn't have a movie anymore lol.

Stayed at Traders Hotel with mum while Cheryl stayed at Rachel's house. I personally think Traders is awesome because they have mirrors everywhere :D Okay no lah they have all the facilities (plus, it's clean!) and their staff are really polite and helpful. Next to Komtar and 1st Avenue somemore ehh. Definitely going back!

Walked to Times Square with Cheryl next morning. Morning walk yo! We tried to go into 1st Avenue first cuz we had time to kill but the guard wouldn't let us =_= Met up with Xin Ning, Angela, Wei Khong, Qichen, Eric and Zhou Hai for dim sum. Went in Angela's car! :) Ugh dim sum in Penang is so much cheaper lol.

 Times Square! And again, we tried to go in and got halau-ed :D

Eric fetched Cheryl and I back to the hotel after to return the keycard. Ahh Eric going so far away to the US makes me feel like I'm gonna miss him even though we're not that close! Eric I'll miss you! And thanks for fetching us! Hahah.

Adjourned to Gurney Plaza! Lolol. Wasted time there until it was time to go back to Ipoh. Didn't even buy anything aww sad-nya.


Ding ding ding (random noise) moving on to 4th May, AMCCO's Echoes From the Deep concert!
Mum freaking threw my ticket away thinking it was some old ticket so I had to buy another one. =,= at least the money goes to AMCCO! LOL.

Had dinner at St Mike's with Cheryl, Bryan, Pei Hui and Yuan Jun. Seriously, no customers except us, expensive, not that great and most importantly, VERY SLOW. Gosh we must have waited half an hour. The food is okay la but just OKAY. High prices some more! *shakes fist furiously*

Ahh didn't bring my camera. I bring it to the most random places but don't even bring it to this important event. Mentally hitting myself here.

On to the concert! Sat with all us ex-seniors right behind the cameraman ;D First half was just okay, but good job to the juniors! Tanboyue was nice as well! But second half, second half was AWHSOME. Shadier and Hailu, almost flawless, people! Can't even understand how you guys can do so well. Great job, cellos. So proud of you guys. And Xinlin's conducting! She WAS the song, for both songs. Absolutely breathtaking, AMCCO. Keep it up for chunlei!

Went for supper after. Famous Ipoh tauge chicken haha. Haven't had that in soo long. Reached home near midnight! >.<

And so ends this year's concert marathon. Missed Heng Ee's, CLB's and Jit Sin's, how pathetic for someone who doesn't even have school to go to lol. Well, it's been a long post. Byezzzz! xx

Aghh dip exams are two weeks away. I'm not half ready for cello yet dammit. But still hoping that I'll scrape a pass for piano at least. Brenda's gonna page turn for me. Yay! She came over this morning and we had a long chat. I guess she's the only person I'll feel totally comfortable about in the exam room.

Don't really feel like practising the cello anymore. It's become such a chore since my teacher told me that I have to practise at least 4-5 hours a day. Like wth I'll not have a life left! Just been forcing myself to pick up that cello for two hours a day. And even that feels too much =_=




And this 7 year old can play this piece much better than I can. Urrghhh.


Watched the latest Glee episode (I know I'm late k) and it's kinda inspiring :) Especially love their version of Stronger by Kelly Clarkson!

Oh oh and I finished reading A Game of Thrones! It was awesome aside from the fact that there are SO many names to remember. Gotta admit I hardly know which side all the knights are on most of the time. But still, great book. Just started on A Clash of Kings! :D

Skipped cello practice for today since I had a long nap which I haven't done in ages. Undeserved break and shh don't tell on me ;) I'm guilty enough as it is. My life kinda revolves around music at this point and to be honest, I'm not enjoying it too much.
